Friday through Sunday is dedicated to our instructional firearms training. We are still the first and only Miami Lakes security training academy to offer dry-fire, fully functional mechanical weapons safety training prior to allowing students onto a live range for their proficiency. For our unarmed Class D training, students can use variance in the curriculum to come across multiple weeks if they can’t attend all four days sequentially. For safety reasons, students must take our firearms training three days in a row, so we can ensure the safety of all students, and also the person we are training! Requirements
Above 18 years of age
no criminal charges within the past three (3) years
of good moral character
U.S. Citizen or a Legal Resident
You may be eligible for the security guard license if you are or were a Florida Certified law enforcement officer and or completed the Florida Criminal Justice Standards and Training Commission for certification as a police officer or a corrections officer. Military veterans who were Military Police may also be eligible for the security guard license. Out of state law enforcement may be required to attend the 40 hours of security training. It is highly recommended that all those seeking to get into private security attend the 40 hours of training to understand the state laws and how the industry varies from law enforcement and the military. Our security training program second to none and is known as the best security guard training in the state for the security guard license.
