Unarmed Security Officer Training
How do you become a licensed security guard in Florida so you can apply for Security jobs? To get your security license in Florida you must attend a licensed security school and complete 40 hours of security training. The Security D Course is the class required to obtain your unarmed security license. We offer this course at our security school locations throughout the state in a 4 day period and consists of 10 hour days. Once you complete the D course, you can then apply for the license with the State of Florida Division of Licensing (DOL). The DOL will issue applicants with a Temp License until the hard copy arrives in the mail. Applicants can apply for security jobs and work with the Temp license. Unarmed Class Info

Armed Security Training
To work armed Security jobs in Florida, security officers must obtain the Statewide Firearms (G) License. It is illegal to work armed security jobs with a Concealed Weapons License. The G firearms Course is 28 hours of training provided by Invictus in a 3 day period. This course will teach beginner- intermediate students on marksmanship fundamentals and prepare them to work armed security. Our courses will teach the skills necessary to carry a firearm while working on and off duty. We spend a lot of time on practical exercises in which the officer spends an entire day in a half performing dry fire practice with the actual firearms before they go to the range to qualify.
