Florida security license address change under Statutes 493, mandates security officers to inform the Division of Licensing in writing 10 days after their residency or mailing address changes. Licensees also have the option to change their address online by clicking here. Security Officers can send their notice to the DOL in writing to the following address:

The regulation does not require a licensee to acquire a replacement license after they change their address. Security officers may proceed to carry their current license until it expires. If you would like an up-dated license showing your new address, please provide a written request for a new license to the address above with a money order or check to the Florida Division of Licensing in the amount of $15, along with one passport color photo.

This will insure licensees receive a renewal application before their licenses expire and also receive all Division of Licensing updates regarding any changes in the laws. If you forget to change your address and do not renew your security licenses on time, your licenses will become expired and cost double the State Fee to renew them.
