Position Purpose:
Duties include monitoring and operating various computer based security systems. Coordinating activities in response to alarm activations. Directing the activities of the contract physical security force. Coordinating vendor support in the maintenance of security systems. Implementing and enforcing Corporate Security operational and emergency procedures related to facility security and life safety. Receiving and disseminating information to entities on corporate accidents and serious incidents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Alarm monitoring – Responding to, assessing and following through on alarm events
- Handling customer requests – Assisting customers by way of phone, email and face-to-face queries.
- Access badging – Taking photos, issuing new/replacement badges, applying requested access to badges, suspending access upon employee termination/resignation.
- Oversee physical security – Dispatch physical security.
- Security system maintenance – Trouble shooting faulty equipment and coordinating vendor support when needed.
